A mother loves her children no matter how old they are and worries and cares for them always. Card base in white and did what a video I saw called it faux paper tearing technique. You take your paper like copy paper and tear as you would normal card stock, then lay down from middle towards one side and allow as much white space as you want in the middle as you will sponge one side then do other side--were to use a brayer but mine was not covering as much as I wanted so filled in with sponging and then took stamp of stars from botanical set and stamped over the green and blue several times. Stamped the flowers, but wiped some ink off here and there so not be too dark, stamped sentiment, and punched out then did black punch layer and layered the white piece on top and popped up. IRL does look like torn paper but is one layer only.

What a great technique....so interesting. I'll have to try it. Your card turned out so pretty and in great colors. I'm sure Veronica will love and appreciate it.

I've never heard of that technique, but it certainly does look like torn paper. I like the way your stamping looks over the sponging....very nicely done!

Very Neat. I have seen the real ripped papers, but not the faux. I have used the paper tear for clouds in the bg , but never thought of doing that for this kind of bg...neatly done...TFS..:0)

Thanks for sharing the technique. I have so much cs/paper I can certainly use as much as I like - but this faux technique certainly opens more possibilities, and I am putting this in my faves so I can try it. By the way this is a lovely card - I really like the colors you selected.

This is a lovely sympathy card - I think simple is often best for these. The stamping over the sponging makes it look like gently patterned paper.
We do have a gallery for the faux tearing technique, so I'm going to pop this into it!
